Winona-Ryder
Winona Laura Horowitz professionally known by the name Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her after her hometown. Michel Horowitz' father was an author and editor, as were Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder's father came from an ethnically Jewish family Ryder believes she is Jewish. Ryder is the younger sister of Uria as well as two half siblings Jubal and Sunyata. At the age of seven, Ryder was just seven years old, her family moved to Mendocino County California. There, they didn't have electricity. Ryder would read extensively due to the absence of television. In 1983 when she was twelve, Ryder joined the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. At the age of 15years old, Ryder was offered her first part on screen, in Lucas. Ryder suffered from bullying throughout high school. Ryder believed that if she became an actor, her behavior could be reduced. It didn't turn out. But she continued to chase her goals. Beetlejuice, a 1988 Tim Burton film, was her first big break. Ryder had a successful role in several films. In 1993, he was nominated two times for Academy Awards.
