April Ross

April Ross is one of only a few female beach volleyball players to win medals at many Olympics. Alix Klineman is a new Olympian and will join her in Tokyo. In addition, Ross is aiming to capture the first Olympic gold. As she turns 39, it could be Ross' last opportunity to claim the Olympic gold. However, she's convinced that top prizes are in reach. Ross through NBC Boston, said that if the team plays consistently or well it could be able to win gold. That's why I'm taking a little bit of luck also. Ross was born on the 22, 1982, located in Costa Mesa California. She lived there along with her entire family. At Newport Harbor High School, she was a participant in many sports. She played basketball and ran track, in addition to her indoor volleyball exploits as a prep athlete. She stood out however during this game. During her high school career she played middle blocker, outside hitter and setter at the tennis court, according to her college bio. Gatorade Circle Of Champions named her the National Player 1999. She also received the Orange County Athlete of the Year award in volleyball. Ross and Klineman might be working on a project at the beginning of 2017, but Ross was already an established volleyball player before they came together. In reality, she's been a winner of numerous major tournaments and one of them was a renowned volleyball player. The pair teamed together with Jennifer Kessy from 2007-2013, and was also Klineman's coach. Kessy was Ross's teammate at the 2009 World Championships. They eventually won a silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Misty Maytreanor's legendary team along with Kerri Jennings took home the gold. Ross Jennings was Walsh Jennings partner in fate when Maytreanor retired. Both went on to win the bronze beach volleyball medal at Rio Olympics 2016 with Walsh Jennings. Ross began her collegiate career with the USC Trojans following high school. It was a long time before Ross made her debut on the beach and became a professional. Ross's Trojans experience was amazing. In 2000 she was voted Pac-10 Freshman of the Year and NCAA Freshman Of The Year, and was also an All-American. The Trojans were also able to get to the Final Four with her help. In her sophomore year, she was devastated by a personal setback but managed to make it back as an All-American. In her last two years of participation in the Trojans program, she coached the Trojans to winning a national title each year. For her part, she cemented her place as a legend when she won the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. This award was given to the most outstanding female college volleyball players across the United States. Ross studied at USC in International Relations. Margie Ross was never able to watch her daughter's climb to beach volleyball fame. In 2001 when Ross was a sophomore at USC her mother passed away from breast cancer. She continues to cherish her late parent. Margie is a beach lover as well as in everyday life, is still a source of inspiration for her.
